Ryan Gray is a San Diego–based singer, guitarist, songwriter, and recording artist with over a decade of experience and a lifelong devotion to music.

Ryan’s musical roots trace back to his early years with the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus, where he developed the powerful and dynamic vocal style that defines his sound today. Inspired by the classic songwriting of The Beatles, James Taylor, and Joni Mitchell—artists his parents loved—Ryan picked up the guitar as a teenager. Guided by his father’s own musicianship, he quickly discovered a deep connection to both performing and writing music.

At 18, Ryan wrote his first song, “Slow Down Blues,” which later became the opening track on his self-produced debut album, “I’m On My Way”. His path since then has included planned professional detours, along with some deeply personal challenges, including stepping away from music to care for his parents before their passing. Those experiences have shaped his perspective and reignited his passion, bringing new depth and honesty to his songwriting.

Now, with a renewed sense of purpose, Ryan is back with a collection of new releases—“Down in the Dirt,” “Crumbling Away,” and “Peace of You”—that showcase his evolution as an artist. Each track reflects his blend of heartfelt lyrics, expressive guitar work, and timeless influences. All are available now on major streaming platforms.
